The All in one computer (AIO)

Elitegroup G24 AIO PC

The Wizard uses an AIO and has been for more than 10 years. I find them to be good looking and fairly easy to add new RAM or SSD hard drives. Mine is a Elitegroup G24 PC with 16 GB RAM and an intel i7 CPU. It works well for me to support Ubuntu MATE, which is installed and even allows me to run virtual machines as well.

An all-in-one computer, as the name suggests, is a computer that combines the components of a traditional desktop computer into a single, integrated device. Here are some potential benefits of using an all-in-one computer:

  1. Space-saving design: All-in-one computers typically have a smaller footprint than traditional desktop computers, as they combine the display, computer, and other components into a single device. This can be especially beneficial if you have limited desk or workspace.

  2. Easy setup: Because all of the components are integrated into a single device, setting up an all-in-one computer is typically easier and faster than setting up a traditional desktop computer. There are fewer cables and components to connect and configure.

  3. Aesthetics: All-in-one computers tend to have a sleek and modern design, which can be more visually appealing than a traditional desktop computer with a separate tower and monitor.

  4. Improved performance: Because all of the components are designed to work together, all-in-one computers can offer improved performance over traditional desktop computers with separate components. This is especially true for all-in-one computers that use high-performance components, such as gaming all-in-one computers.

  5. Portability: Some all-in-one computers are designed to be portable, with a built-in battery and a more lightweight design. This can make them easier to move around or use in different locations.

  6. Built-in peripherals: Many all-in-one computers come with built-in speakers, a webcam, and other peripherals that you would typically need to purchase separately with a traditional desktop computer.

All-in-one computers can be a convenient and space-saving option for those who want a desktop computer with a modern and sleek design. However, they may not be as customizable or upgradable as traditional desktop computers, and they may be more expensive due to their integrated design.
