Quivia! (Quick Trivia!!)
Pole-sitting was a very popular past time in the 1920s. People would sit on top of a flag pole for the longest time possible. They had to do something with their time, right?
While pole-sitting, people would drink and smoke, which were popular things to do in the 1920s. Occasionally they would be brought food, which was lifted up to them using a pulley system and a bucket; the same bucket and pulley system used when the pole-sitter had to use the restroom.
