Mid-August

The Wizard's feet

Mid-August comes with a subtle grace,
As the summer sun begins to lose its blaze,
The days are shorter, the nights are long,
As the warmth of summer starts to move along.

The air is filled with the sound of crickets,
As the evening breeze begins to pick it,
And fireflies dance in the fading light,
Their twinkling lights a magical sight.

The gardens are full of ripening fruits,
Tomatoes, peppers, and other summer roots,
The harvest is coming, the earth is alive,
A time of abundance, a time to thrive.

The sunflowers stand tall, reaching for the sky,
Their petals a brilliant yellow, a sight to spy,
And the fields of gold sway in the gentle breeze,
A peaceful sight that puts our hearts at ease.

Mid-August is a time of transition,
A time to reflect on all that's come to fruition,
And as we prepare for the autumn to come,
We cherish the last days of summer sun.
