Can you install Linux on a tablet?

Yes, it is possible to install Linux on a tablet, but the process can be complex and may require some technical expertise. The feasibility of installing Linux on a tablet depends on the specific tablet model and hardware configuration.

Some tablets come with a Linux-based operating system pre-installed, while others may require you to download and install a Linux distribution such as Ubuntu, Debian, or Arch Linux. Before installing Linux on a tablet, it's important to check the tablet's hardware compatibility with the Linux distribution you plan to install.

The installation process typically involves downloading the Linux distribution, creating a bootable USB drive, and booting the tablet from the USB drive to start the installation process. However, the specific steps may vary depending on the tablet and Linux distribution you are using.

It's also important to note that installing Linux on a tablet may void the device's warranty and could potentially cause issues with hardware compatibility, battery life, and device performance. Therefore, it is recommended that you proceed with caution and perform a backup of your tablet's data before attempting to install Linux.

The Wizard has a Chinese tablet currently running Windows 10/Android. I am in the process of trying to install Ubuntu MATE (or regular Ubuntu), and just have to figure about how to boot into the BIOS so that I can have it boot from USB. I will update you when I have been successful in installing Linux on my tablet.
