The Angel

‘Tis the season for the story, the story of how an angel ended up sitting atop the Christmas tree. Sit back, pour yourself your favorite drink, and enjoy!

‘Twas the night before Christmas and in Santa’s house, everything that could go wrong did and kept getting worse. It all began with Rudolph’s nose dimming and then going out. No matter what anyone tried, it just would not light up. Then several of the elves had a hissy fit about not being paid overtime on holidays, organized a union and took all the elves on strike. With Christmas just a day away, Santa was beside himself. He tried to get some comfort from Mrs. Clause but that was a no go, as Mrs. Clause was having severe PMS. Before he ended up in deep doo doo with her, he decided, “Screw it. I am CANCELLING CHRISTMAS.” He sat down in his lazy boy chair by the roaring fireplace, opened his newspaper to read, and was just about to take a sip of his hot chocolate when an annoying knock came from the door. He set down his cup, threw the paper into the fire, and stomped over to the door. Whipping it open he found an angel, holding a Christmas Tree.

“Hello, Mr. Clause! I have the tree you ordered for Christmas! What would you like me to do with it?”

And to this day, angels sit atop Christmas trees!

--Thanks, Trent
