REUTERS PHOTO OF THE DAY: Shooting a war

Reuters photographer Lucas Jackson reflects on how the conflict in Afghanistan has changed in the years that he has been documenting it. Death by roadside bomb, however, has remained constant, and this image from Jackson’s latest photo essay shows a soldier mourning two comrades killed by an IED.
