Bikers Church

The following is from their website. Link at the bottom of the post

Bikers Church services are Thursdays from 7-8:15pm.

The Capital City Bikers Church launched in January 2002 with a desire to share the message of God’s unconditional love and His amazing grace with the motorcycle community. At our Bikers Church service, you will be in the excellent company of fellow bikers; laid back, open-minded people who are comfortable in jeans and leather. Often we enjoy a blues or bluegrass style of musical worship from our seats over a coffee or standing and clapping. Our program for youth ages 13-19 runs during this service.

Vanier Community Church is much more than a place to attend and serve…it is a family. Vanier Community Church is a community of people who want to grow in the truth of God’s amazing grace and help others discover that truth. We welcome and accept every person who wants to be with us. We want this to be a place where you can put your guard down and just belong. Our church’s history stems back to September 18th1993 with the conception of City Church, in response to our Father’s heart for the inner city of Ottawa. As we came together in prayer, God provided our mission and many outreaches to the community came out of this foundation. Isaiah 61:1-2a reveals God’s heart for the community we hope to reach. “The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is upon me, for the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to comfort the broken-hearted and to proclaim that captives will be released and prisoners will be freed. He has sent me to tell those who mourn that the time of the Lord has come.” Nearly a decade later in 2002, Capital City Bikers Church was uniquely birthed from the desire to share the message of God’s unconditional love and His amazing grace with the motorcycle community – with their home bases being at locations on St Laurent Blvd and Arlington Woods for a time while many of their events and efforts were outreach on the road. In 2012, Bikers Church found their permanent home at the 155 Carillon building and merged with City Church creating a new entity – Vanier Community Church. God’s heart for the people of the Vanier and biker communities are steadfast – and although our church’s name and location have changed over the years, His love remains the same. We are now happily united as Vanier Community Church – one church, two expressions.
