"Two Men In Love"

For Immediate Release

London, UK – February 15 , 2013

Electro chamber orchestra, The Irrepressibles, debut the video for the single “Two Men in Love” on OUT.com today.  “Two Men in Love” is available for purchase on iTunes and off of their "courageous and uplifting” (UNCUT) sophomore album NUDE, also now available in stores in North America.

"Two Men in Love” is a beautiful, intimate confession of the powerful love between two men in the face of a rejecting world. The video features a collage formed of kisses sent in by lovers across the world supporting The Irrepressibles' message of unabashed universal love.

The Irrepressibles is the creative work of artist Jamie McDermott. His voice is one of beauty, defiance, emotion, masculinity and gay sexuality. His provocative Farinelli-meets-Elvis style is readily compared to David Bowie, Jeff Buckley and even Jonsi of Sigur Ros.  From the front cover of Boyz magazine to features in Attitude, Gay Times, Italian Vogue, Vogue L'uomo and Dazed & Confused, McDermott is now somewhat of a nouveau international gay music icon.

He began The Irrepressibles in 2002 as an art performance project. They gained a reputation for their now legendary art pop before BEING signed.  Their performance “spectacles” such as the Human Music Box, Mirror Mirror and Air were commissioned by prestigious venues such as the V&A Museum, Holland Festival and Southbank Centre. With a mantra to “make something that portrays the real originality, drama and intensity of life,”  The Irrepressibles first incarnation was described by McDermott as a “performance orchestra,” that he choreographed and led.

This latest work NUDE combines dark electronica with organic orchestration and is - in his words - “an attempt to explain the rich complexity of life."  A raw, elements-inspired work with a focus on the passing of time and memory,  NUDE features powerful melodies and arrangements that fuse together European electronica and orchestration with Lynch-like American iconography.
