The saxophone was named after a man whose last name was Sax
The saxophone is named after its Belgian-French inventor, Antoine-Joseph (also known as Adolphe) Sax. He presented his new instrument in Paris during the early 1840s, had it patented in 1846, and was eventually appointed instructor of the saxophone at the Paris Conservatory. Mrs. Fields Cookies was originally called Mrs. Fields Chocolate Chippery.
Mrs. Fields Chocolate Chippery opened in Palo Alto, California, in 1977. Started by a young mother named Debbi Fields, the company began franchising in 1990 and now has close to 400 U.S. locations as well as over 80 international stores.
