I found this neat little ditty in Vista. Hit the pearl button and type "snipper" without the quotes. This will open the snipper tool. This littele program allows you to capture parts of the desktop, parts of windows, parts of text etc.. and then you can save this as an image file. Works like Snag-it but better and free. Sure beats the 'Ctrl' + 'Prt Sc' and the 'Alt' + Prt Sc'....
