Oh Canada!

  1. Toque - a knit hat
  2. Poutine - a dish of French fries topped with cheese curds and gravy
  3. Loonie - a Canadian one-dollar coin
  4. Toonie - a Canadian two-dollar coin
  5. Mickey - a small bottle of alcohol, typically 375 ml
  6. Homo milk - homogenized milk
  7. Kraft dinner - boxed macaroni and cheese
  8. Double-double - a coffee with two creams and two sugars
  9. Timbits - small doughnut holes sold at Tim Hortons
  10. Bunnyhug - a hooded sweatshirt with a front pocket, also known as a hoodie
  11. Chinook - a warm, dry wind that blows down the eastern side of the Rocky Mountains
  12. Canuck - a Canadian, or the Vancouver Canucks NHL team
  13. Gitch - men's underwear, also known as briefs
  14. Runners - athletic shoes, also known as sneakers or tennis shoes
  15. Parkade - a multi-level parking garage
  16. Toboggan - a sled used for sliding down snowy hills
  17. Two-four - a case of 24 beers
  18. Pop - a carbonated soft drink, also known as soda or fizzy drink
  19. Hydro - short for hydroelectricity or a hydroelectric power company
  20. Homo-Fries - french fries topped with gravy and shredded cheese ( a new one for me?)

you know Gail... I have no idea. I have tried to research that expression but was unable to find it - I'm hoping one of my readers will figure it out and take the time to let me know. (I hope it;s not an LGBT slur that's naming the food)
