Robert De Niro’s childhood nickname, Bobby Milk, came from his youth spent on a dairy farm.
The
nickname came from his pale complexion. De Niro was born in New York
City in 1943. He’s been nominated for several Oscars, and won his first
for The Godfather: Part II. Playing a young Don Corleone, he reprised
the role that won Marlon Brando an Oscar in the original Godfather. In
fact, De Niro and Brando are the only actors to have won an Academy
Award for portraying the same character.
