Eagles - Long Road Out Of Eden Tour 2009

Following the success of their No. 1 album, Long Road Out of Eden, the Eagles performed live at Credit Union Centre last night here in Saskatoon.

Eagles

Long Road Out of Eden has been certified seven times Platinum by the RIAA. Released October 30th, the album debuted at number one, with sales of 711,000 units, and in only 9 weeks became the biggest selling album by a group in 2007, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The Eagles won the 2008 Grammy Award for Best Country Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocals for "How Long."

The band - Glenn Frey, Don Henley, Joe Walsh and Timothy B. Schmit - performed current hits from Long Road Out of Eden including "How Long" and "Busy Being Fabulous" as well as their classic songs.

I was wondering if Joe Walsh was going to sing "Life's Been Good" and he did not disappoint me - or the crowd of 12,000 +. (There are 2 more shows which sold out 13,000+ each, coming Tuesday and Wednesday)

Eagles

The arena totally went wild when They performed "Hotel California" - and I sat and rocked back and forth with my eyes closed and was instantly transported back to my youth - the song was amazingly performed and they did not change it up like they did several of their classic songs - a wise move - being their signature song and all.

"Dirty Laundry was another fantastic piece - with the great percussion and keyboards along with the "projector" screen behind the band showing scandal sheets like "National Enquirer" and "People" and such, depicting the human race's need for the dis on whatever goes on in stars lives...

Eagles

The band closed the encore with "Desperado" which was wonderfully done and a great piece of music.

The Eagles have sold more than 120 million albums worldwide, earning five #1 U.S. singles and four Grammy Awards. Their Greatest Hits 1971-1975 is the best-selling album of all time, exceeding sales of 29 million units. The band's Hotel California and Their Greatest Hits Volume 2 have sold more than 16 and 11 million albums respectively. The Eagles were inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1998.

The performance tonight was absolutely OUTSTANDING - and the Eagles have once again proved that they have what it takes to Rock The House - but then they were just too "Busy Being Fabulous"!!!
