Around 400 revellers donned fancy dress to brave the icy waters of the Firth of Forth in this year's Loony Dook swim.
People dressed as everything from Santas to Vikings entered the waters of the Forth in Edinburgh for the charity swim, reports the BBC.
Suzanne Smith, from Edinburgh, who took part in the swim with friends, wore a grass skirt over her bikini.
She said: "You only live once and we decided we wanted to do something a bit different. But there were six of us who were originally going to do it - the other three chickened out when they saw the weather."
A crowd of several thousand watched the swimmers parade down South Queensferry's High Street and into the Forth.
