YPSILANTI, Mich. (AP) — Michigan rapper MC Breed, who burst onto the national scene with the 1991 hit "Ain't No Future in Yo' Frontin'," has died at age 37.
A Washtenaw County medical examiner's spokesman says Eric Breed was pronounced dead Saturday at a friend's home in Ypsilanti, about 30 miles southwest of Detroit.
Toxicology reports are pending, but officials say no foul play is suspected.
The Detroit News and The Flint Journal say Breed had suffered from kidney failure.
Breed grew up in Flint, and "Ain't No Future in Yo' Frontin'" contained several references to the city. He moved to Atlanta in the 1990s.
Between 1991 and 2004, Breed recorded 13 albums and collaborated with artists such as Tupac Shakur.

Rapper MC BREED Dies At Friend's Home At Age 37
FANCY DRESS PARTY
A bald man with a wooden leg gets invited to a Halloween party. He doesn't know what costume to wear to hide his head and his leg so he writes to a costume company to explain his problem.
A few days later he received a parcel with the following note:
Dear Sir,
Please find enclosed a pirate's outfit. The spotted handkerchief will cover your bald head and, with your wooden leg, you will be just right as a pirate.
Very truly yours, Acme Costume Co.
The man thinks this is terrible because they have emphasized his wooden leg and so he writes a letter of complaint. A week goes by and he receives another parcel and a note, which says:
Dear Sir,
Please find enclosed a monk's habit. The long robe will cover your wooden leg and, with your bald head, you will really look the part.
Very truly yours, Acme Costume Co.
Now the man is really upset since they have gone from emphasizing his wooden leg to emphasizing his bald head so again he writes the company another nasty letter of complaint. The next day he gets a small parcel and a note, which reads:
Dear Sir,
Please find the enclosed bottle of molasses. Pour the molasses over your bald head, stick your wooden leg up your ass and go as a caramel apple.

Advocating for Mental Health

I can't speak for all mental illness as I'm not a doctor, but I do have an intimate personal knowledge of depression and anxiety. It makes me sensitive and I am less able to handle certain stresses than people who's brain chemistry is normal. This isn't a character flaw on my part or on the part of any body else who is afflicted with these kinds of ailments any more than a person whose diabetic can be blamed for acting "drunk" or slipping into a comma when there body is out of whack from not being able to process sugars normally.
I don't think people who haven't experienced clinical anxiety can understand what a person like me is experiencing walking through life so because I love analogies I have come up with one.
Imagine you are heading to work and on your way you get into a really bad car accident. People have been seriously injured you have seen blood and heard their screams and the sirens of the emergency vehicles. You can feel the physical ache in your body from when your body slammed into the airbag and the restraints in your car kept you from being airbourne. You however are able to walk away from the accident with no physically serious injuries, but you feel nauseated from everything you have just seen and heard, your head is spinning and foggy and you feel scared, stressed and wound up from the incident and know you could burst into tears at any moment... you are physically OK and could go to work, but you definitely don't feel up to it after what you've just been through.
It would probably take that kind of trauma for an average person to feel the physical and psychological symptoms that someone with an anxiety disorder for instance can just wake up feeling for no reason that there life circumstances can justify... it's all just because their brain doesn't have the proper homeostasis of chemicals like serotonin which people need to feel normal. I can feel nauseated all day, my muscles can ache and normal things that wouldn't affect you could cause me to feel an unbearable level of anxiety. But unlike when you are in a situation like the car accident I described above, I can't phone into work and explain the situation and why I am not able to come in. People don't understand why I and others like me can't take situations that are nonplus to them in stride and just "do my job" or whatever is expected of me socially.
So please, if you know someone who is brave enough to admit their challenge with anxiety or another mental health condition I hope the car accident analogy can offer you a moments pause to have compassion and understanding for their limitations. And I hope you can value the work they do and appreciate the underlying struggle they go through that they will probably never let you know about. We don't deserve to be passed up for raises, bonuses or promotions because we take more sick time than the average person. We don't deserve to be made fun of as though our illness is a character flaw. Let's let bonuses be based on the time worked so that everyone can be rewarded for the efforts and energy they were able to contribute rather than punishing people who suffer from these conditions for absences do to illness.
Our sensitivity's offer unique perspectives as well as challenges. We are individuals with gifts, abilities, aptitudes and talents just like the rest of the population. Please keep this in mind if you work with someone with a mental health disorder. Like people with intellectual or physical disability we have special needs and unique limitations, but unlike these other groups our challenges aren't usually visible or immediately apparent. We are all sharing this planet lets make society a place of inclusion for all of us.

Love Letter- H-O-T!
I shall seek and find you. I shall take you to bed and have my way with you. I will make you ache, shake, and sweat until you moan and groan. I will make you beg for mercy, beg me to stop. I will exhaust you to the point that you will be relieved when I finish with you and you will be weak for days.

New Pain-Inducing Advil Created For People Who Just Want To Feel Something, Anything
PHILADELPHIA—Taken three times daily with a quart of gin, Advil Release can alleviate the worst symptoms of life's deadening futility and cold, blank emptiness.
"Advil Release delivers a soothing burst of pain when cold and listless Americans need it most," Wyeth CEO Bernard J. Poussot said during a press conference Monday. "Just two capsules can deliver all-day relief in the form of searing, life-affirming agony; the kind of agony Advil users trust when being a pale specter of humanity adrift in a meaningless and uncaring universe is just not an option anymore."
According to Poussot, the new drug works by delivering a powerful stimulant straight to the brain's pain center, causing an intense stinging sensation all over the body. If taken regularly, the deadening futility of day-to-day life will be temporarily washed away in a flood of blessed and cleansing torment.

"First they came…" is a poem attributed to Pastor Martin Niemoller (1892–1984)
*Thanks, Michele
This poem was forwarded to me and I like it and her follow up comments:
I came across this poem in my afternoon of internet browsing using stumble upon. And with it being a social day for me I have conversed with peoples and realized the real need for individuals who are educated to take a stand.
Discrimination in the work place isn't cool whether it's due to sex, sexual orientation, intellectual disability or mental health problems. Let's acknowledge people and rejoice in their gifts and not diminish the value of there efforts simply because someone who doesn't have there challenges can handle challenges "better".
Let's speak up when people "joke" in ways that demean people due to these kinds of differences. Tonight I learned that people are still being killed because of these differences which is appalling in this day and age.
What are you thankful for?
What are you thankful for? The Merriam-Webster online dictionary defines "thankful" as 1: conscious of benefit received, 2: expressive of thanks, and 3: well pleased. So what are you well pleased about? Which benefits have you received that you are conscious of?

Observed annually on the fourth Thursday of November
Thanksgiving Day, celebrated on the fourth Thursday in November, at the end of the harvest season, is an annual American Federal holiday to express thanks for one's material and spiritual possessions. The period from Thanksgiving Day to New Year's Day often is called the holiday season. Most people celebrate by gathering at home with family or friends for a holiday feast.
Thanksgiving generally is considered secular, or at least nonsectarian, and is not based on any specific religious canon or dogma. Though the holiday's origins can be traced to harvest festivals that have been celebrated in many cultures since ancient times, the American holiday has religious undertones related to the deliverance of the English settlers by Native Americans after the brutal winter at Plymouth, Massachusetts.*

Pieces of large meteor may have landed in Saskatchewan
by CHRIS PURDY, The Canadian Press
SASKATOON — A leading researcher says one of the largest meteors to streak over Canada in the last decade broke up into pieces that may have landed in central Saskatchewan.
Planetary scientist Alan Hildebrand from the University of Calgary plans to spend the weekend in the Manitou Lake area near the town of Macklin, Sask., about 100 kilometres south of Lloydminster, near the Alberta boundary.
As co-ordinator of the Canadian Fireball Reporting Centre with the Canadian Space Agency, Mr. Hildebrand was busy Friday talking with some of the witnesses who sent him 300 e-mail reports about the fireball they saw light up the night sky Thursday.
With their descriptions of the meteor — its brightness, colour and sound — he pinpointed the most likely fall location to be near Manitou Lake.
“Right now, the important thing is not searching because we don't know which field to search in. It's a big world,” Mr. Hildebrand said. “What's important now is finding proximal eyewitnesses, so you know where meteorites might have fallen.”
Meteor sightings have been widely reported across the Prairies, from Edmonton to Regina to Swan River, Man. Witnesses heard sonic boom rumblings and reported it was as bright as the sun.
Cattle farmer Trevor Crisp had just finished hauling a load of animals when he arrived at his home near the village of Richard, about 200 kilometres west of Manitou Lake, for supper Thursday night. It was completely dark outside.
“All of a sudden everything lit up,” said Mr. Crisp. “I thought it must have been a lightning strike.
“You could hear quite a rumble going through, and you could see a bit of vibration in the windows. It was pretty neat.”
Tammy Evans was getting some sleep before her night shift as a nurse in North Battleford, Sask., when her worried 10-year-old daughter ran into the bedroom.
“She said there was a flash of light, and she said the house shook twice and it sounded like dinosaurs were walking.”
Minutes later, Ms. Evans received a call from her brother-in-law who was driving to Edmonton.
“He said the whole sky lit up, and he had to squint because he couldn't see.”
Hildebrand says the meteor could likely be seen up to 700 kilometres away, into the northern United States. It contained about a tenth of a kiloton of energy when it entered the earth's atmosphere, equal to 100 tons of the chemical explosive TNT.
“It would be something like a billion-watt light bulb.”
Besides sonic boom sounds, he said witnesses also reported hearing hissing or crackling noises like frying bacon. Fireballs can act as radio transmitters, Mr. Hildebrand said, causing odd sounds.
He said other people saw the meteor break into pieces and turn red as it slowed down.
Because it came down over the bald prairie instead of ocean or forest, there's a good chance meteorites may be found, said Mr. Hildebrand. He just wants to get to them before they're covered or ruined by more snow.
Martin Beech, an associate professor of astronomy at the University of Regina, said meteorites are valuable to learning about the history of the solar system. The artifacts are 4.5 billion years old.
“Picking up a meteorite is almost equivalent to doing a space exploration mission between Mars and Jupiter,” he said.
Richard Herd is curator of Canada's national meteorite collection in Ottawa, with samples from 1,100 different meteorites that have landed across the country.
He said the biggest meteorite fall occurred northeast of Edmonton near the town of Bruderheim in 1960. More than 700 fragments recovered totalled 300 kilograms.
About 75 fireball events are reported each year.
Rick Huziak, an amateur astronomer in Saskatoon, helps operate a fireball camera on top of the University of Saskatchewan physics building that captured video of the meteor.
Although the camera records one every two to three weeks, this meteor was among the brightest seen in Canada in the last dozen years, he said.
“It was quite spectacular. The ground lights up all over the place.”
Mr. Huziak said only one in a thousand fireballs actually drop meteorites. Most meteors burn up completely.
Phil Langill, director of the Rothney Astrophysical Observatory at the University of Calgary, said he wasn't lucky enough to see the meteor.
But if someone is lucky enough to find one of its meteorites, they should be careful not to contaminate it.
“So if anybody finds it, they should pick it up carefully with a Ziploc bag or something like that and not touch it with their hands.”

Wise Words

QUOTE: Success, Emerson
"To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty, to find the best in others; to leave the world a little better; whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is the meaning of success."
-Ralph Waldo Emerson

Broken Heart
A broken heart is like is like a broken mirror... its better to leave it as it is... “Or hurt yourself trying to put it back together”

Jest Jokes...
A man got really drunk one night in his local pub. The barman refused to serve him any more alcohol and told him he should be heading home. The man thought this was a good idea so he stood up to leave but fell over straight away. He tried to stand up again but only fell over again. He thought if only he could get outside and get some fresh air he'd be grand. So he crawled outside then tried to stand up and fell over again. In the end after falling over lots more he decided to crawl home. When he got back to his house he pulled himself up using the door handle but as soon as he let go he fell over again. He had to crawl up the stairs and managed to fall over onto the bed and fell asleep. When he finally woke up the next morning his wife asked him what he was doing at the pub last night. He denied it but she said, "I know you were there..." he maintained his innocence until "...the barman rang to say you forgot your wheelchair again...."

A man goes on a 2-month business trip to Europe and leaves his cat with his brother. Three days before his return he calls his brother.
Brother 1: So how is my cat doing?
Brother 2: He's Dead
Brother 1: He's Dead! What do you mean He's Dead! I loved that cat. Couldn't you think of a nicer way to tell me! I'm leaving in 3 days. You could of broke me to the news easier. You could of told me today that she got out of the house or something. Then when I called before I left you could of told me, Well, we found her but she is up on the roof and we're having trouble getting her down. Then when I call you from the airport you could of told me, The Fire Department was there and scared her off the roof and the cat died when it hit the ground.
Brother 2: I'm sorry...you're right...that was insensitive I won't let it happen again.
Brother 1: Alright, alright, forget about it. Anyway, how is Mom doing?
Brother 2: She's up on the roof and we're having trouble getting her down.

The Old Man and the Sea
A seaman meets a pirate in a bar, and they take turns to tell their adventures on the seas. The seaman notes that the pirate has a peg leg, hook, and an eye patch. Curious, the seaman asks "So, how did you end up with the peg-leg?"
The pirate replies "I was swept overboard into a school of sharks. Just as my men were pulling me out, a shark bit my leg off".
"Wow!" said the seaman. "What about the hook"?
"Well...", replied the pirate, "We were boarding an enemy ship and were battling the other sailors with swords. One of the enemy cut my hand clean off."
"Incredible!" remarked the seaman. "How did you get the eye patch"?
"A seagull dropping fell into my eye", replied the pirate.
"You lost your eye to a seagull dropping?" the sailor asked.
"Well..." said the pirate, "That was my first day with the hook."

A lawyer opened the door of his BMW, when suddenly a car came along and hit the door, ripping it off completely. When the police arrived at the scene, the lawyer was complaining bitterly about the damage to his precious BMW.
"Officer, look what they've done to my Beemer!" he whined.
"You lawyers are so materialistic, you make me sick!" retorted the officer, "You're so worried about your stupid BMW, that you didn't even notice that your left arm was ripped off!"
"Oh my god", replied the lawyer, finally noticing the bloody left shoulder where his arm once was, "Where's my Rolex!"

A little boy asked his dad for a dollar to give to a little old lady in the park. His father impress by his son’s kindness, gave him the dollar. “There you are my son,” said the father. “But, tell me, isn’t the little lady able to work any more? “She sells candy” was the boy’s reply.

A man solves the problem of too many visiting relatives. He borrowed money from the rich ones and loaned it to the poor ones. Now none of them come back.

Fire swept the plains and burned down the farmer’s barn. While he surveyed the wreckage, his wife called their insurance company and asked them to send a check for $75,000, the amount of insurance on the barn. “We don’t give you the money,” a company official explained. “We replace the barn and all the equipment in it.”
“In that case,” replied the wife, “cancel the policy I have on my husband.”

Customer Service today
Now some people are really stupid! Be sure and cancel your credit cards before you die.
This is so priceless, and so, so easy to see happening, customer service being what it is today.
A lady died this past January, and Citibank billed her for February and March for their annual service charges on her credit card, and added late fees and interest on the monthly charge. The balance had been $0.00 when she died, but now somewhere around $60.00. A family member placed a call to Citibank.

Here is the exchange :
Family Member: 'I am calling to tell you she died back in January.'
Citibank: 'The account was never closed and the late fees and charges still apply.'
Family Member: 'Maybe, you should turn it over to collections.'
Citibank: 'Since it is two months past due, it already has been.'
Family Member: So, what will they do when they find out she is dead?'
Citibank: 'Either report her account to frauds division or report her to the credit bureau, maybe both!'
Family Member: 'Do you think God will be mad at her?'
Citibank: 'Excuse me?'
Family Member: 'Did you just get what I was telling you - the part about her being dead?'
Citibank: 'Sir, you'll have to speak to my supervisor.'
Supervisor gets on the phone:
Family Member: 'I'm calling to tell you, she died back in January with a $0 balance.'
Citibank: 'The account was never closed and late fees and charges still apply.'
Family Member: 'You mean you want to collect from her estate?'
Citibank: (Stammer) 'Are you her lawyer?'
Family Member: 'No, I'm her great nephew.' (Lawyer info was given)
Citibank: 'Could you fax us a certificate of death?'
Family Member: 'Sure.' (Fax number was given)
After they get the fax :
Citibank: 'Our system just isn't setup for death. I don’t know what more I can do to help.'
Family Member: 'Well, if you figure it out, great! If not, you could just keep billing her. She won’t care.'
Citibank: 'Well, the late fees and charges do still apply.'
(What is wrong with these people?!?)
Family Member: 'Would you like her new billing address?'
Citibank: 'That might help...'
Family Member: ' Odessa Memorial Cemetery, Highway 129, Plot Number 69. '
Citibank: 'Sir, that's a cemetery!'
Family Member: 'And what do you do with dead people on your planet???
(Priceless!!)

A Marriage Manifesto... Of Sorts
By Tom Ackerman
A gay man experiments with language, love and law.
Editor's Note: Welcome new readers! If you like this post sign up for RD's daily email newsletter here.
I no longer recognize marriage. It’s a new thing I’m trying.
Turns out it’s fun.
Yesterday I called a woman’s spouse her boyfriend.
She says, correcting me, “He’s my husband,”
“Oh,” I say, “I no longer recognize marriage.”
The impact is obvious. I tried it on a man who has been in a relationship for years,
“How’s your longtime companion, Jill?”
“She’s my wife!”
“Yeah, well, my beliefs don’t recognize marriage.”
Fun. And instant, eyebrow-raising recognition. Suddenly the majority gets to feel what the minority feels. In a moment they feel what it’s like to have their relationship downgraded, and to have a much taken-for-granted right called into question because of another’s beliefs.
Just replace the words husband, wife, spouse, or fiancé with boyfriend, girlfriend, special friend, or longtime companion. There is a reason we needed stronger words for more serious relationships. We know it; now they can see it.
A marriage is a lot of things. Culturally, it’s a declaration to the community that two people are now a unit, and that unity should be respected. Legally, it’s a set of rights and responsibilities. And spiritually, it’s whatever your beliefs think it is.
That’s what’s so great about America. As a constitutionally secular nation, or at least in reality a vaguely pluralistic nation, we can all have our own spiritual take on what marriage is. What’s troublesome is when one group’s spiritual beliefs deny the cultural and legal rights of another.
But, back to the point. They say their beliefs don’t recognize my marriage, I say my beliefs don’t recognize theirs. Simple. It may seem petty, and obviously the legal part of the cultural/legal/spiritual trilogy is flip-floppy, but it may be the cultural part that really matters.
People get married to be recognized as a permanent couple. To be acknowledged by friends, family, and strangers as being off the market, in a relationship, totally hooked up, yikes… it’s impossible to say without saying ‘married.’ We wear rings to declare this!
So, we can take this away. We can refuse to recognize marriage in the cultural sense. It is totally within our rights, as Americans, to follow our beliefs and recognize or not recognize what we like.
I guess this is a call out to all Americans with beliefs similar to mine.
If you believe that all people should have equal rights, and if you believe that marriage is one of the greatest destinations of a relationship, then perhaps you believe that nobody should have marriage, until everybody does.
That’s what I believe.
*Thanks for the story, Michele

Gift Idea For A Tight Christmas
Christmas is going to be tight this year. I will be making bedroom slippers for my friends as gifts. You'll most likely agree that it's a splendid idea, and should you wish to do the same, I've included the instructions below.
How to make bedroom slippers out of maxi pads:
You need four maxi pads to make a pair.
Two of them get laid out flat, for the foot part.
The other two wrap around the toe area to form the top.
Tape or glue each side of the top pieces to the bottom of the foot part.
Decorate the tops with whatever you desire, silk flowers (this is most aesthetically appealing), etc.
These slippers are:
* Soft and Hygienic
* Non-slip grip strips on the soles
* Built in deodorant feature keeps feet smelling fresh
* No more bending over to mop up spills
* Disposable and biodegradable
* Environmentally safe
* Three convenient sizes: (1.) Regular, (2.) Light and (3.) Get out the Sand Bags.
I've also posted a photo of the first pair I made so that you can see the nifty slippers for yourself....
Oh come on! LAUGH out loud with me! This is too good!
*Thanks, Daryn
