Christopher Lee, known for his role as Saruman in "The Lord of the Rings," has died at the age of 93, multiple sources have confirmed.
According to reports in The Telegraph and The Guardian, among others, the actor died on Sunday.
In addition to his role as Saruman, which he performed through the "Lord of the Rings" film trilogy, Lee was known for having played Count Dracula in 1958 and Count Dooku in "Stars Wars" episodes II and III.
The actor, who was knighted in 2009, also released a series of heavy metal albums.
