Update: It appears that there may have been some influence by the Chinese republic with contacts inside Canada, that may have had some minor influence in the last Canadian election, though it had little or no impact on the outcome of the election. If I find more evidence, I will post in a new post, when that is confirmed.
It is important to note that allegations of foreign interference in elections are serious and should not be made without credible evidence. Accusations without evidence can undermine public trust in democratic processes and institutions.
It is also worth noting that foreign interference in elections is a growing concern around the world, and Canada has taken steps to protect its democratic processes. In 2018, Canada introduced the Elections Modernization Act, which includes provisions to protect against foreign interference in Canadian elections.
