Should your WiFi be switched off at night? Is there any risk in keeping it on?

WiFi - Wireless

It’s recommended to turn off WiFi at night.

Not only does it contribute to the longevity of your router, but it’s also good for your health. As you probably know, WiFi transmits low-intensity radiation. Reducing the daily amount of exposure to this type of radiation is good for your health.

According to an article from RF Radiation Health Risks, some scientific reports claim that long-term exposure to WiFi radiation can cause cancer, DNA damage, and male infertility.

Some people claim that with the WiFi off at night they sleep more peacefully, although, in my opinion, it’s possible that this is a placebo effect.

It’s also good from a fire safety standpoint. It is recommended to disconnect electronics from wall sockets if you’re not using it.
