The Truth

"When you do not tell the truth about your thoughts, feelings or actions, you are telling yourself that you are not worthy of the truth, that you are less than the other person, that you are only what others believe you to be. When you fear the judgements of others, you have given them the responsibility to judge you, the perogative to decide what is right and wrong for you, and the freedom to shape you and your life at their whims. ... Speaking the truth is believing in yourself."

Women's Ass Size Study

There is a new study just released by the American Psychiatric Association about women and how they feel about their asses. The results are pretty interesting:

1. 85% of women surveyed feel their ass is too big.

2. 10% of women surveyed feel their ass is too small.

3. The remaining 5% say they don't care, they love him, he's a good man, and they would have married him anyway...

Canada Will Allow Blood Donations From Gay Men

Restrictions on gay men donating blood are set to be lifted in Canada after the government spent C$5 million researching the change's impact on the safety of the blood donation system. Separately, Denmark made the bold decision to halt its COVID vaccine program after controlling the virus.

Blood donations now accepted from gay men

Canada To Lift Restrictions

On Gay Men Donating Blood

(AP) Health Canada on Thursday lifted restrictions on gay men donating blood, a move Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said was “good news for all Canadians” but had taken too long. Trudeau said at a news conference the ban should have ended 10 to 15 years ago, but research proving it would not affect the safety of the blood supply had not been done by previous governments. Trudeau said his government spent C$5 million dollars (US$3.9 million) on research into the safety aspects of changing the blood donation rules and multiple scientific reports showed “our blood supply will continue to be safe.”

From The Emerald City

From The Emerald City

My Dear 'OZ'ians,

Well 'OZ' plods along, along with 42% of my traffic in the last 7 days, coming from Russia, using a compatible OS (ie: not Windows, MAC or Linux), and surfing to 'OZ' via Google Chrome. The number of visits from Russia has been 40 to 60% of all traffic to 'OZ' since a week after Putin's War started... Personally I find it hard to believe that they are visiting at all. I would assume the traffic spikes are from bots looking to take down sites. To that end, they have no way of doing that to 'OZ' - The 'Other' Side of the Rainbow directly, but would have to take down Blogger as a whole, which is owned and protected by Google.

The thing that bothers me the most is these types of hits are skewing my stats. Oh well. It is what it is.

RAISING BOYS

Mischief Boy

The following came from an anonymous Mother in Austin, Texas... Things I've learned from my boys (honest and not kidding):

1.) A king size water bed holds enough water to fill a 2000 sq. ft. house 4 inches deep.

2.) If you spray hair spray on dust bunnies and run over them with roller blades, they can ignite.

3.) A 3-year old boy's voice is louder than 200 adults in a crowded restaurant.

4.) If you hook a dog leash over a ceiling fan, the motor is not strong enough to rotate a 42 pound boy wearing Batman underwear and a Superman cape. It is strong enough, however, if tied to a paint can, to spread paint on all four walls of a 20 x 20 ft. room.

5.) You should not throw baseballs up when the ceiling fan is on. When using a ceiling fan as a bat, you have to throw the ball up a few times before you get a hit. A ceiling fan can hit a baseball a long way.

6.) The glass in windows (even double-pane) doesn't stop a baseball hit by a ceiling fan.

7.) When you hear the toilet flush and the words "uh oh", it's already too late.

8.) Brake fluid mixed with Clorox makes smoke, and lots of it.

9.) A six-year old boy can start a fire with a flint rock even though a 36-year old man says they can only do it in the movies.

10.) Certain Lego's will pass through the digestive tract of a 4-year old boy.

11.) Play dough and microwave should not be used in the same sentence.

 12.) Super glue is forever.

13.) No matter how much Jell-O you put in a swimming pool you still can't walk on water.

14.) Pool filters do not like Jell-O.

15.) VCR's do not eject Peanut Butter & Jelly sandwiches even though TV commercials show they do.

16.) Garb age bags do not make good parachutes.

17.) Marbles in gas tanks make lots of noise when driving.

18.) You probably DO NOT want to know what that odor is.

19.) Always look in the oven before you turn it on; plastic toys do not like ovens.

20.) The fire department in Austin, TX has a 5-minute response time.

21.) The spin cycle on the washing machine does not make earthworms dizzy.

22.) It will, however, make cats dizzy.

23.) Cats throw up twice their body weight when dizzy.

24.) 80% of men who read this will try mixing the Clorox and brake fluid.

Those who pass this post on to almost all of their friends, with or without boys do it because: a) For those with no children - this is totally hysterical! b) For those who already have children past this age, this is hilarious. c) For those who have children this is not funny. d) For those who have children this is a warning. e) For those who have not yet had children, this is birth control

Indispensable

Sometime when you're feeling important

Sometime when you ego's in bloom
Sometime when you take it for granted
You're the best qualified in the room
Sometime when you feel that your going
would leave an unfillable hole
Just follow this simple instruction
and see how it humbles your soul

Take a bucket and fill it with water
Put your hand in it, up to your wrist
Pull it out and the hole that's remaining is
a measure of how you'll be missed
You may splash all you please when you enter
You can stir up the water galore
But stop and you'll find in a minute that
it looks quite the same as before
The moral in this quaint example
Is do the best that you can
Be proud of yourself, but remember
There's no indispensable man.

This is named "Feeling Important" by Saxon White Kessinger. It is also the poem that Justice Sandra Day O'Connor read at her retirement.

R.I.P. Shane Yellowbird (1979 - 2022)

Shane Yellowbird

Award-winning country music singer and songwriter Shane Yellowbird passed away at the age of 42 Tuesday.

Yellowbird was a two-time Native American music award winner for Best Country Recording, which he won for his 2011 debut album “Life Is Calling My Name” and his 2012 follow-up project “It’s About Time.”

In addition to those two awards, Yellowbird was nominated for Best Music Video in 2009. He was born on July 7, 1979, in Alberta Canada, and overcame his challenge with stuttering by singing sentences.

R.I.P. Susan Jacks (1948 - 2022)

Susan Jacks

Susan Jacks, who, with her husband Terry Jacks, was a member of the recording group, The Poppy Family, died from kidney disease on Monday (April 25). She was 73.

Singer/songwriter Susan Jacks was born as Susan Pesklevits on August 19, 1948 in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. She's one of eight children. A striking blonde beauty with an extremely sweet and angelic voice, Susan first started singing at age seven on the radio on Saturday afternoons.

The Lone Ranger and Tonto....

The Lone Ranger and Tonto stopped in the desert for the night.  After they got their tent all set up, both men fell sound  asleep.  Some hours later, Tonto wakes the Lone Ranger and says, "Kemo Sabe, look towards sky, what you  see?" The Lone Ranger replies, "I see millions of  stars.""What that tell you?" asked Tonto.

The Lone Ranger ponders for a minute then says, "Astronomically speaking, it tells me there are millions of  galaxies and potentially billions of planets. Astrologically, it  tells me that Saturn is in Leo.  Time wise, it appears  to be approximately a quarter past three in the morning.  Theologically, it's evident the Lord is all-powerful and we are small and insignificant. Meteorologically, it seems we will have a beautiful day tomorrow. What's it tell you, Tonto?"

Tonto is silent for a moment, then says, "Kemo Sabe, you dumber than buffalo shit. Someone stole  tent."

From The Emerald City - Crisis in Ukraine

  From The Emerald City

My Dear OZians,

Now that Russian dick(tator) has his monkey Lavrov spouting that World War III is possible, along with Russia using tactical nuclear weapons in Ukraine.

“The danger is serious, it is real, you can’t underestimate it,” Lavrov told the Interfax news agency.

Are he and Putin totally crazy? No-one in their right mind will use nukes in this or any other war. Probably sabre-rattling. One hopes.

Lack of progress in Putin's war has shown that Russia is indeed losing the war, and that there is a real possibility that Ukraine will be victorious. The uncertainty of Russia winning the war is what's behind the talk about nuclear weapons. They may just be desperate enough to use them.

To be sure, Putin et al. have been backed into a corner and desperately need a victory of some kind for Victory Day (May 1st), to justify the reasons for the war in the first place. I don't see a way for Putin to save face and he is becoming more desperate as time goes on.

Russia and Putin must be held accountable! Now and in the future.

Stay Strong Ukraine! You have friends throughout The World. Слава Україні!

Men Strike Back

How many men does it take to open a beer? None. It should be opened when she brings it.

ManWhy is a Laundromat a really bad place to pick up a woman? Because a woman who can't even afford a washing machine will probably never be able to support you.ManWhy do women have smaller feet than men? It's one of those "evolutionary things" that allows them to stand closer to the kitchen sink.ManHow do you know when a woman is about to say something smart? When she starts a sentence with "A man once told me..."ManHow do you fix a woman's watch? You don't. There is a clock on the oven.ManWhy do men fart more than women? Because women can't shut up long enough to build up the required pressure.ManIf your dog is barking at the back door and your wife is yelling at the front door, who do you let in first? The dog, of course. He'll shut up once you let him in.ManWhat's worse than a Male Chauvinist Pig? A woman who won't do what she's told.ManI married a Miss Right. I just didn't know her first name was Always.ManScientists have discovered a food that diminishes a woman's sex drive by 90%. It's called a Wedding Cake.ManWhy do men die before their wives? They want to.ManWomen will never be equal to men until they can walk down the street with a bald head and a beer gut, and still think they are sexy.ManIn the beginning, God created the earth and rested. Then God created Man and rested. Then God created Woman. Since then, neither God nor Man has rested.ManSend this to a few good men who need a laugh and to the select few women who know this is all bulls__t anyway.

The Darwinian vs. God Contest

One day a group of Darwinian scientists got together and decided that man had come a long way and no longer needed God. So they picked one Darwinian to go and tell Him that they were done with Him.

The Darwinian walked up to God and said, "God, we've decided that we no longer need you. We're to the point that we can clone people and do many miraculous things, so why don't you just go on and get lost."

God listened very patiently and kindly to the man. After the Darwinian was done talking, God said, "Very well, how about this? Let's say we have a man-making contest." To which the Darwinian happily agreed.

God added, "Now, we're going to do this just like I did back in the old days with Adam."

The Darwinian said, "Sure, no problem," and bent down and grabbed himself a handful of dirt.

God looked at him and said, "No, no, no. You go get your own dirt!"

Ripped from The Headlines...

"Iraq car bomb explodes near 'holy Shiite shrine'"

--Headline CTVNEWS.net

INTERESTING.

Read out loud the text inside the triangle below.

If you pass the eye-test then you do not need yet a pair of eye-glasses for reading. If you fail, you need imagination although not necessarily a pair of eye-glasses.

If you pass the eye-tests above then you do not need yet a pair of eye-glasses for reading.

If you fail, you need imagination although not necessarily a pair of eye-glasses.

More than likely you said, "A bird in the bush," and........ if this IS what YOU said, then you failed to see that the word THE is repeated twice!

Sorry, look again.

Next, let's play with some words.
What do you see?

What do you see?

In black you can read the word GOOD, in white the word EVIL (inside each black letter is a white letter). It's all very physiological too, because it visualize the concept that good can't exist without evil (or the absence of good is evil ).

Now, what do you see?

Now, what do you see?

You may not see it at first, but the white spaces read the word optical, the blue landscape reads the word illusion. Look again! Can you see why this painting is called an optical illusion?

What do you see here?

What do you see here?

This one is quite tricky!
The word TEACH reflects as LEARN.

Last one.

What do you see?

What do you see?

You probably read the word ME in brown, but...... when you look through ME you will see YOU!
