Parable:
Once upon a time, in a small, close-knit village, lived an old sage known for his wisdom. People from neighbouring villages would often visit him seeking guidance and insights.
One day, a curious villager asked the sage about the meaning of the various people who enter our lives. The sage smiled and began to tell a tale.
"In the journey of life," the sage began, "people are like the changing seasons."
"Imagine life as a vast garden," he continued, "Each person you meet is a unique flower or tree that graces the garden of your existence."
"Some people are like spring," the sage explained, "They bring new life, new growth, and a fresh perspective. They bloom with vibrancy, adding colour and energy to your life. They're here to remind you of the beauty of beginnings."
"Then, there are those who resemble summer," the sage continued, "Radiating warmth and brightness, they bring joy and prosperity to your days. Their presence is vital for growth and nourishment, enabling you to thrive."
"Others resemble autumn," the sage said, "They show you the beauty of change and letting go. Their time in your life may be bittersweet, yet they teach you the value of releasing what no longer serves you."
"Lastly, some are like winter," the sage concluded, "Quiet, introspective, and calming. They bring a sense of peace, stillness, and reflection. Their role is to offer solace and prepare you for the next cycle of growth."
The villager contemplated the sage's words, realizing the profound truth in the analogy. Just like the changing seasons, people enter our lives to teach us, shape us, and contribute to the mosaic of our experiences. Though some may be fleeting, their impact is enduring, and the essence of their presence lingers in our hearts.
And so, the villager left the sage with a newfound appreciation for the people who come into our lives—recognizing that each has a purpose and a unique beauty, enriching the garden of our journey.
