Was Roy Orbison Blind?

Roy Orbison was not blind, although he did have poor eyesight. Before a concert he forgot his regular glasses on the airplane and only had his sunglasses with him. So he preformed with his sunglasses on that night and the next day the newspaper completely focused on his sunglasses and not so much his performances that evening! He knew that it might be a good way to get an image that could last! And at his last concert he performed with sunglasses!

By the way if he were blind he would not have been able to drive motorcycles and cars, which he enjoyed a lot!
