Winterlude is Ottawa's much-awaited winter festival, a celebration of skating and fun in the snow. The centerpiece of Winterlude (which begins today) is the Rideau Canal; five miles of its length through central Ottawa are groomed for skating. It's quite possibly the world's longest naturally frozen ice rink.
