Outside The Box, Beyond The Walls

(ARA) The last time you were in an electronics store, you probably ooo-ed and ahh-ed when you walked past the flat-panel TVs. With their clear, crisp pictures, big screens and theater-quality sound, who wouldn’t?

Sales of these technological wonders, that are typically no more than 3 to 4-inches thick, are expected to go through the roof this holiday season. Sets that once cost upwards of $5,000 a year or two ago are now going for considerably less.

So what’s stopping you from buying one? A common reason people give is that they don’t have adequate wall space to display them. Well, think outside the box – better yet, make that off the wall!

With the ability to hold up to 50-inche TVs along with corresponding A/V components, Sanus Systems’ new flat-panel TV pedestals are constructed of heavy-duty material and feature a wire management channel. There are new models available, specifically for smaller TVs up to 32 inches, with either one or two extra-strong glass shelves, and a black or silver base.

If even floor space is a problem, you may want to go with one of Sanus Systems’ new ceiling mounts for small-to-medium flat-panel TVs. The VisionMount Model SC1A is ideal for corner locations when wall mounting is not an option. Made of extruded aluminum that provides incredible strength and rigidity, it is designed to fit virtually all 13-inch to 30-inch LCD TVs. It has a weight capacity of 50 pounds.

And specially designed for computer monitors or flat-panel TVs in an office setting, Sanus' new full-motion desk mounts are as stylish as they are strong. Model SD103 offers tilt and swivel motion and independent tension adjustment for tilt and swivel. Model SD115 features an articulating arm that extends up to 15 inches from the support column in addition to the same tilt and swivel motion as the SD103. They are available in an anodized finish in black or silver.
