I’ve got my head in a bit of a mess again. Well, not me, but the whole LGBT anti-discrimination ordinance stuff going on in this city. And the issues with LGBT rights in general across the country. Yes, we passed the ordinance, but the fight is far, far from over.
As a nation we are founded on the fact that all men (people) are created equal. Throughout our history we’ve had to redefine what we meant when we said men. Who are men? What are men? Are black folk men? For a long time, they weren’t. Then they were. And life wasn’t good, but it started to get better.
