Quick Thinker

An old Louisiana farmer had his property fixed up with a large pond in the back. He had a beach for swimming, picnic tables, horseshoe pitches, and some fruit trees.

One evening he grabbed a bucket to go down and gather some peaches and apples. As he neared the pond, he heard voices shouting and laughing with glee.

When he got to the pond he saw a group of young women skinny-dipping. When he made them aware of his presence, they all went to the deep end.

One of the women shouted, “We’re not coming out until you leave”. The old farmer frowned. “I didn’t come down here to watch you swim naked or to get you out of the pond naked”. Holding up the bucket, he said. “I just came down to feed the alligator.”

Some old men can still think fast.

*Thanks, Dad
