Haley Joel Osment was eight years old when he was nominated for an Oscar.
He was 11 years old. Osment was nominated for best supporting actor for his role as ghost seeing Cole Sear in The Sixth Sense. Osment had already appeared in a number of motion pictures, including Forrest Gump, but The Sixth Sense was his first major role.
